Why Everyone Loves Tim Burton

Everyone loves Tim Burton

There isn’t a soul alive that hasn’t been touched by Tim Burton’s genius in some way. I personally fell in love with his work after first seeing Beetlejuice.  How he managed to turn Michael Keaton into the villan everyone loved was amazing. What’s more amazing is that the following year he turned that same actor into a 360 degree spin and created Batman. The world of Gotham would never be the same.

It was in 1993 that the Master of the Macabre created:

The Nightmare Before Christmas

This movie not only touched me but years later my daughter would become equally obsessed. Which is amazing when you factor in the fact that she was born seven years after The Nightmare Before Christmas was released.

Jack Skellington, the pumpkin king of Halloween Town, is bored with doing the same thing every year for Halloween. One day he stumbles into Christmas Town, and is so taken with the idea of Christmas that he tries to get the resident bats, ghouls, and goblins of Halloween town to help him put on Christmas instead of Halloween — but alas, they can’t get it quite right. And so the Halloween/Christmas Holiday hybrid was born. To honor Tim Burton and Jack Skellington in all their glory I just added this analog watch to my  The Nightmare Before Christmas collection.

What better way to celebrate your love of everything Tim Burton then with this beautifully well made pocket watch.  Be different have a pocket watch shaped like a coffin showing off your favorite character from Nightmare Before Christmas.

Semicolon Movement

As someone who’s been touched with mental illness personally, I gladly stand behind this movement.

Project Semicolon was born from a social media movement in 2013. They describe themselves as a “movement dedicated to presenting hope and love to those who are struggling with depression, suicide, addiction, and self-injury. Project Semicolon exists to encourage, love, and inspire.”

I’ve watched too many people, good people let what others say define them. The point of this movement is to continue moving forward.

A percentage of all sales from any semicolon product will be donated to the semicolon movement.

Remember your life is worth something. Keep moving forward. Don’t end your sentence.
